What is the mesh number of stainless steel mesh?

The mesh number can generally describe the density between the mesh lines. The higher the number of grids, the denser the grids, and the smaller the grids. On the contrary, the lower the mesh number, the more sparse the mesh number, the larger the mesh number, such as 150 mesh/inch, that is, there are 150 mesh wires in 1 inch. The smaller the mesh, the worse the permeability of the ink, the larger the mesh, the better the permeability of the ink. When selecting the screen, the screen of different mesh can be selected according to the printing accuracy requirements.

The thickness of the grid. The thickness of the screen refers to the distance from the surface of the screen to the bottom, generally in millimetres (mm) or microns (μm). The thickness should be measured in the static state of the screen without tension. The thickness is determined by the diameter of the wire mesh.

The opening of wire mesh is an important parameter to describe the width, aperture and mesh size of wire mesh. The opening of the screen has a great influence on the fineness of the screen printing pattern and text. The opening actually represents the width of the grid, expressed as the square root of the area of the grid surrounded by the latitude and longitude of the grid (usually in microns, 1 micron = 1/1000mm). Therefore, the longer the length of one side of the screen, the greater the opening.
